InmateSales.com Refund Policy

  • To request a refund of unused funds in your account, please call 1-877-998-5678.
    • A Customer Service Representative will take your information and submit a refund request for you.
    • The refund request will be validated against the funds available in the account. If approved, the account balance will be debited the amount of the refund.
    • ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
  • To request an E-cig refund, please call 1-877-998-5678.
    • A Customer Service Representative will take your information and submit a refund request for you.
    • The refund is subject to a $2.00 service charge per E-cig refund. The refund will be applied to your credit or debit card or a check will be issued if it was a cash transaction.
    • ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Credit Card Refunds

  • A Credit Card Transaction ID or account verification is required to process. If information cannot be validated, no refund will be issued.

Cash Refunds

  • A Transaction ID is required in order to process a cash refund. The transaction ID can be found on the front of your receipt below the date. No exceptions.

Prepaid Card Refunds

  • Customers who use a pre-paid credit card and who then discards that method of payment would still be eligible for a refund MINUS a $3.00 handling fee. This refund will be in the form of a mailed check. Customers must still provide the Transaction ID.

Credit Card Verification Process

Once you have reached a transaction threshold set by our credit card processing center, the credit card will be declined until the threshold resets. If you wish to use this card prior to the “reset”, you will need to undergo the Credit Card Verification Process.
  • Step 1 - contact our customer service center at 1-877-998-5678 and speak with a Call Center Agent to have a verification form completed. You will also need to fax the front of the credit card you wish to have verified along with your name, phone number, address and full sixteen digit credit card number written out and legible via fax to 1-859-781-0087.
  • Step 2 - Once the information is received, the business office will confirm that all information matches and the credit card will be considered verified. If the information does not match, a call center agent will be in touch to get the correct information.
  • Step 3 - After the process is completed, the credit card information will be destroyed as we do not store this data whatsoever.

    • Unused balances over $0.99 on prepaid inmate calling cards, may be transferred without fee or surcharge to a subsequently purchased calling card or other existing telephone account; (provided the unused prepaid calling card is mailed to us – see address information below).
    • Unused balances over $0.99 on prepaid inmate calling cards not transferred to a subsequently purchased prepaid calling card are subject to Alabama’s Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act.
    • For "Call Time for Inmate's PIN" (aka PIN DEBIT) and "Call Time to One Phone Number" (aka Direct Pay), refunds may be requested at any time.
    • Refunds can be credited to the credit/debit card to a non-inmate purchaser of products if that original method of payment was used to purchase the product being requested for a refund.
  • Purchases by Money Order:
    • In the State of Alabama, we are now offering a means to purchase products without fee or associated surcharge via U.S. Postal Money Order only.
    • Please make out your U.S. Postal Money Order to "CPC" and mail it to InmateSales.com; PO Box 76406 Highland Heights, KY 41076.
    • In the envelope, you must include a piece of paper with your full name, address, phone number, the state where the facility is located (always should be Alabama), and the name of the facility where funds are to be applied. If funds are to be applied to the inmate’s PIN account (aka PIN Debit) the name of the inmate is also required on the piece of paper.
    • If all of this information is not provided, we will make every effort to contact you to get the information. If you cannot be contacted, our company will not cash the Money Order until we receive the additional details from you, which can be submitted to Customer Service at 1-877-998-5678.
